Step 4

My surgery is scheduled for Wednesday February 10th at the Menorah Medical Center in KC. I have now consulted with both surgeons that will be performing the surgery. As far as Chemo, the exact start date has not been determined at this time but will be soon after the surgery. So, everyone gear up because our climb is about to begin. One step at a time together we will climb!

  4. I just want you to know that you are actively a part of my mind and heart.

The things you're experiencing at this time are tremendous but your courage is even greater.

My morning meditation was spent letting go of the things we as humans have a tendency to want to control, letting go of things that cause us dissatisfaction and discomfort, i.e., the situation in Haiti, people's suffering, and the illness that inflict us. The time was spent replacing the discomfort with awareness. . . awareness of the vast amount of courage, strength, stamina, and kindness that surrounds us during this life. My meditation was spent in awareness that while you did not choose this experience, from it and even from this blog, we are able to experience and see acts of loving kindness.

Cathy, my heart goes out to you, your family, and your friends (all the pillars of strength that care for you, love you, and shower you with kindness).

    We all love you Cathy.
